On Thursday, we held our Year 10 Guidance Evening; it was fantastic to see so many parents attend. Mr Cullen informed me that we had over 90% attendance - thank you very much for your support; it is very much appreciated.  We tried a different format this time, with all parents meeting in the hall and then splitting up into groups of 25 to have a more informal meeting in classrooms.  This is especially important to this year group, as they have so many changes to contend with.

Mr Morgan, (Head of PE) told me this week has seen many sporting successes. In Rugby League, the Year 7 team beat Standish 24-12 in North West Counties play-off game so are through to the NW Cup; the Year 11 team beat Wright Robinson (Manchester) 18-10 in the North West Cup; the Year 9 team beat St Peters (Manchester) 48-0 in the North West Cup and the Year 10 team narrowly lost to Westleigh 18-16 in the Wigan Schools.  In Football: the Year 11 team beat Byrchall 7-1, the Year 8 team beat Cansfield 6-1 and the Year 7 team beat Cansfield 5-0. In Hockey: the Year 10/11 Eddie's (A) team beat Eddie's (B) 3-0; the Year 10/11 Eddie's (A) beat St Peter's (Orrell) 2-0; the Year 9 (A) beat Eddie's (B) 3-0 and the Year 9 (A) beat Bedford 3-0.  Great results, and more importantly superb attitudes from all pupils, well done!
