On Wednesday we had the Year 11 Leaver’s Mass and what a wonderful occasion it was! I would like to thank all the pupils, staff, parents and Father John and Deacon John for making the occasion such a memorable one. I felt really emotional towards the end, as I had images of the pupils as they were in Year 7 pop into my head.  I can’t explain how proud I am of them; they have grown and developed into really special people who will make our world a better place - I will miss them!

Mrs Davies’ Year 9 science class were given the freedom to present a summary or revision notes on the previous section of work on radiation. You can see some of the best examples in the photo below.

Our Year 9 boys rugby team yet again represented the school fantastically well in the national schools semi-final against Castleford High School on Wednesday, even though they lost 20-18, they were an absolute credit to the school.

It is great to see different names on the Year 7 achievement points each week.Congratulations to Niamh Williams in 3rd with 11 points, Ruby Meyrick in 2nd with 12 points and in 1st place Patrick Garry Madden with 15 points.  Well done Year 7, keep up all the fantastic work.
