Just before we finished for half term, we had all five year groups play in the Wigan Schools Football Knockout Finals.  Quite simply an amazing achievement! Four out of the five year groups won their respective finals, with only Year 9 missing out! Congratulations to all the boys who represented the school so well and thank you to all the staff who have supported them brilliantly all year; we are all very proud of you.

Mr Reardon told me that Year 8 have worked really hard during the last week of the half term. They collected over 350 achievement points as a year group, with Jodie Latham contributing nine points individually. Jodie also received her silver library award this week. A brilliant individual effort. A special form congratulations must go to 8S who recorded a perfect punctuality record. Keep up the good work!

Mrs Snape told me that the History Challenge winners for May were Caitlin Morgan 8L and Jodie Latham 8L - excellent work girls, well done!  Mrs Snape also informed me of the ‘Bling My Recycling Bin Challenge’ results. First place in Year 7 were 7C and in second place were 7H. First place in Year 8 were 8L, with second place 8H, and in Year 9, first place were 9B1.  Thank-you to all the pupils who continue to recycle our plastic bottles and for taking part in the competition. Particular thanks also to Mrs Snape for organising the competition and for keeping us all recycling!
