Thank you to all parents, pupils and staff who attended the All Saints Mass in the school hall on Friday, it was a lovely occasion to have in school. We are so lucky to have Father John, who gives up so much of his time to celebrate Mass and also be a presence in our school community, many thanks Father John!

We have had some outstanding pupil efforts during the week. I was delighted to see Kiera Graham in Y7 who showed me the fantastic work she had completed in Maths where she had found all the factors of 60. I was also delighted with Charlie Brogan, Owen Guest, Matthew Eaves, Tom Mills and Tristan Gardner in Y7 who had looked at ‘Maths Watch’ videos and other sources over half term and then could explain how factors work in their first Maths class back after half term! Brilliant work, keep it up!

‘Historians of the Week’ this week are Leo Barton, 7W for an excellent essay on the Battle of Hastings, Nicole Pastore, 7G for making an excellent weapon for her Battle of Hastings re-enactment and Ben Lewis, 8H for thoroughly revising for his Civil War fact test.

I was also told that Megan Stowell in Y8 performed with the Cadets in London over Half Term, taking part in a military parade watched by senior figures in the armed forces.  Thanks to mum for sharing some photographs. What a fantastic representation of our school and year group well done Megan

Well done also to Caitlin Smith who won a medal for roller-skating and received extremely high praise from the judges for her skills. Congratulations Caitlin.
