This Wednesday, the ROAR group and a few others, gathered for an informative talk about university life at Oxford, the many courses and the opportunities available in higher education.

Personally, I found this meeting to be extremely beneficial. We were given a great insight into what would be expected of us and given advice on how to go about writing a successful university application, as well as learning about the huge range of different clubs and societies and funding/ bursaries available (if financial support is required).

We were told about Oxford’s taster days, option days, study days, open days, shadowing schemes, and even the free summer school.

I enjoyed being present at this valuable meeting, and now feel more prepared for what might lie ahead of me at university.
