Laptops for Pupils will return on 06/07/2020!, for the first time we are making it available to all year groups!
We would like to thank the parents and guardians for their support with this scheme so far. We have sold over 200 laptops which has been beneficial to our pupils education. This has guaranteed seamless working from school to home, internet safeguarding, updated software and IT support. As the scheme progresses we will continue to work towards our aim - all year groups having full classes of laptops so that every pupil can benefit from IT whenever its required. With the current cuts to our IT budget we are determined to make sure that our pupils don't miss out on working to the best of their abilities.
During the current COVID-19 pandemic it has become clear how essential I.T is for communicating and delivering classwork. In these uncertain times it is essential that pupils have the right equipment. While tablets and phones do help, pupils cannot complete all aspects of school work. Pupils need their own individual laptop to work in a quiet area of the house, which they can spend all day comfortably working.
Due to the rising demand for IT in school, and the substantially reduced school budget, we are exploring different avenues to allow IT to continue in school. Our Laptops for Pupils scheme is a affordable way for our pupils to get the best access to IT in their classrooms and at home.
Numerous studies have shown that the effective integration of technology and the introduction of e-learning to the curriculum can act as a catalyst that improves learning outcomes by re-engaging students.
Our aim is to provide your child with access to all school resources both in and out of school, with the reassurance that accidental damage is covered. We can achieve this at a price cheaper than the shops, including warranties and insurance. It will allow pupils to access a range of applications and software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Python, 2d design, without the need for parents to purchase the software themselves.
Work can be submitted digitally using the device at any time of the day, giving teachers more efficient ways to provide feedback. Using digital ink or recorded messages, it removes the need to print work, saving both parents and school significant sums of money which can be better spent elsewhere.
Our aim is to provide a device, where teachers and pupils can collaborate together, working on the same documents simultaneously, without the worry of the device running low on battery. It needs to be light, portable and usable in all parts of school life. We feel that we have found a device which meets all of these needs.

Your child’s device will be covered for 3 years, this includes a 1 year warranty and 3 year accidental damage cover. Please note water damage, loss and theft are not covered under the insurance and there is a claims limit per student (please see FAQ for more information).
