The transition from primary to high school is an exciting time, full of new experiences for both parent and child.
We work very hard to ensure maximum success for all our pupils so that they feel ready for the challenges of secondary school, enjoying new friendships and the new opportunities that secondary school brings.

To help with your child's journey we arrange a series of events:-

Y6 New Intake Evening - when parents/carers receive practical information to help with the move up to secondary school.

Y6 Introduction Day - your child will meet their Form Tutor and following this, they will come into school for a series of 3 days to experience a 'trial run' before they join us in September.

The school does have items of second-hand uniform available (free of charge) - to enquire about this, please contact pupilservices@arrowsmith.wigan.sch.uk.
Free Second Hand Uniform Provision: Each Easter, the Diamond Community Support Centre welcome donations of school uniform items in good and clean condition for their second hand uniform free shop. Please visit the Diamond Centre Community Support Centre Facebook page or telephone 07821 462068 for information about how to donate the items your children no longer need and for the dates that the free shop will be open (summertime dates only). Whether this provision helps families facing challenging times or is used as a means of recycling and reducing our impact on the environment, there is no doubt that this is an excellent project providing a vital service to the local community.
