Many congratulations to Y8 student, Reagan Swinburn who competed in the GB Open Karate Tournament in Birmingham, one of the UK’s largest and toughest competitions. After a series of impressive performances, he proudly came away with 2 gold medals, earning the title of Double British Champion.

Just a few days later, on 20th September, Reagan attended the Wigan Council Believe Sports Awards, where he had been nominated for 2 awards. In recognition of his resilience and determination.  Reagan won 1st place in the Overcoming Adversity Through Sport Award.

Reagan’s success continued on 28 September 2025 at the AMA Karate Tournament in Bury, another high-level event featuring some of the country’s top competitors. Reagan added to his growing collection of medals with a GOLD and a BRONZE!.

Looking ahead, Reagan has a challenging October. This weekend, he is aiming to achieve his 1st Dan Black Belt, and later in the month he will travel to Riga, Latvia, having been selected to represent England in the European Championships.

Reagan's parents have shared this fantastic news with us, as quite rightly they are extremely proud of his incredible achievements so far.

We are also extremely proud of Reagan and wish him every success with his future competitions.  Keep on enjoying your sport and you will always succeed!  #INSPIRATIONALACTIONS
