The letter below was sent to Mr Dumican: -
I wanted to send you an email to commend Melissa on her recent participation at the Conservative Party Conference. The three day event was extremely successful, Sea Cadets were recognised for their input and insight across many panels, receptions, and events by MPs, Policy makers, Members of the Armed forces and other charity representatives from a variety of UK charities.
Melissa was an excellent advocate and representative of not only her fellow cadets, but also all young people, talking and contributing to panels about youth provision, the future of education, inequity of opportunity for young people and employment needs, not to mention her work co-hosting the Sea Cadet reception on the impact of volunteering . She should be really proud of her work , and also her resilience, energy and sense of fun that really made the whole event a great experience for everyone involved.

Our CEO, Guy Holloway, additionally sends the following message :
Having been in post for under six months, to have the opportunity to attend party conference with a group of articulate and confident cadets was a true pleasure. We are a youth organisation at our heart. Part of being a youth organisation is the empowerment of our young people - we should always be looking to give our Cadets the opportunity to represent us. They are our greatest ambassadors. Melissa was emblematic of the quality of our offer and our Cadets. Thank you Mel !

I think you will all agree she has done her school, family, and Sea Cadets proud!
