Congratulations to our undefeated Year 9 girls’ rugby team for their exceptional 42 – 4 victory over Standish!

A huge shoutout to the players:  Leah Dallimore, Amelia Mooney, Summer-Lyons Ashworth, Nicola Ogorek, Lucy Hunt, Scarlet Howarth, Lacey-Mai Gardner, Maisie Tye, Leona Howarth, Rosie Helsby, and Year 8 students Poppy Humphreys and Lily Butler

The girls put on a dominant performance, showcasing incredible pace and power. Captain Leah Dallimore kicked things off with a brilliant try and conversion within the first few minutes, setting the tone for the whole match. Her leadership was evident from the start as she tore through the Standish defense.

The rest of the team followed suit, with Leonna, Summer, Amelia, and Rosie all adding tries to the scoreboard. The team’s defense was rock-solid, forcing errors and regaining possession. In the second half, Summer made a dazzling run, slicing through the defense and passing to Leah for her second try. Scarlett then showcased her agility with a brilliant sprint to the corner, securing the team’s seventh try.

As the game neared its end, Summer sealed the win with a well-earned try, bringing the team’s tally to eight.
