Year 9 students took part in the Liverpool Archdiocese Mock COP30 Climate Change Conference

Our Year 9 students recently took part in the Liverpool Archdiocese Mock COP30 Climate Change Conference, an inspiring, student-led simulation of the UN climate summit recently taking place in Brazil. Our pupils represented the EU and other schools also represented countries from around the world. They  researched key environmental issues, and worked together to negotiate realistic solutions to the climate crisis. The event helped students develop confidence in public speaking, teamwork, and critical thinking while deepening their understanding of environmental stewardship through Catholic Social Teaching. The conference concluded with a shared “Mock COP30 Accord,” outlining practical climate actions for schools across the archdiocese.
