CAREERS FAIR 2026 – INSPIRING FUTURES!

What an amazing atmosphere at St Edmund Arrowsmith Catholic High School today, as our Year 10 and Year 11 students took part in our 2026 Careers Fair!
We were delighted to welcome an incredible range of local businesses, colleges, apprenticeship providers and organisations, including Wigan Council, Wigan Athletic, Sellafield Ltd, BAE Systems and the Armed Forces, who gave our students the opportunity to discover more about the world of work and the many pathways available to them.
Our students were fantastic!  They confidently engaged with exhibitors, asked thoughtful questions and showed real enthusiasm as they explored different careers, further education, apprenticeships and future opportunities.
It was particularly lovely to see former St Edmund Arrowsmith pupils return to school in their new professional roles, sharing their experiences and inspiring the next generation of students. Their journeys provided a fantastic reminder of the opportunities available after leaving school and showed our pupils where their own hard work and ambition could take them.
Mrs Paul, Head of Personal Development Curriculum, said:
“It was wonderful to see our Year 10 and 11 pupils so engaged, asking thoughtful questions and showing real enthusiasm about the opportunities available to them. Our Careers Fair gives students the chance to meet employers, colleges and apprenticeship providers, explore different pathways and start thinking positively about their future. It was also fantastic to welcome former pupils back to school in their new roles and see them inspiring our current students. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who gave their time to support and inspire our young people.”
A huge THANK YOU to all the businesses, colleges, apprenticeship providers, the Armed Forces and organisations who joined us and helped make the day such a success. 🙌
We are incredibly proud of our students and their enthusiasm for exploring their futures!
