The History Department offers a range of exciting extra-curricular opportunities for our pupils.
At Key Stage 3, History Club offers the chance for you to create your own research projects and spend the year developing a display. In the past these displays, including a project on the history of the school, and the link between Ashton in Makerfield and the Boer War, have been presented at the Manchester History Fair, and to visiting lecturers from the History Department at the University of Lancaster.
In Year 10, historical re-enactment society Historia Normannis visit the school to give you a valuable, and memorable, introduction to your study of Anglo Saxon and Norman England.
