The LEGO Robotics Challenge enables selected pupils in year 8 and 9 to compete in a national STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) competition against teams from other schools.  The challenge involves pupils designing, making and programming robots made from LEGO, in order to complete a range of space missions in the Regional heats in March.  They will develop their research and teamwork skills and be introduced to the possibilities STEM subjects can provide in preparation for further education and future careers.   If they are successful in the regional competitions, pupils will progress to the national finals at the 'Big Bang' exhibition.
