The following trip opportunities feature regularly on the school calendar, although they may not be an annual event.  Ask your form teachers for more information and they will tell you which teacher is the trip organiser.

The Bi-Annual European Ski Trip

Ski Trips to Europe run every two years and are offered to pupils in Year 9 and 10.   These trips are announced in assembly and fill up very quickly.  They are a wonderful opportunity to learn an exhilarating sport, spend time with your friends (and make new ones!) and see the breathtaking views of the snowy Alps.   Year 9 & 10 pupils will travel to Italy in 2020.

Y9 History Trip to London

In Year 9, you will have the opportunity to take part in a day trip to London in preparation for your GCSE course in which you will see the sights around the Houses of Parliament and Whitehall, visit the Churchill War Rooms, HMS Belfast, the London Eye and the famous River Thames Duck Tour.

Y11 History Trip to Berlin

The department regularly runs a Year 11 trip to Berlin to support your studies of Nazi Germany and the Cold War by visiting iconic sites like the Reichstag and the Berlin Wall as well as the memorable experience of Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp.

Art Department

Y11 are given the opportunity to travel to London on a day trip where they have the chance to visit art galleries and Camden Market to gather ideas and inspiration for their GCSE exam.

All GCSE Art students have the opportunity to take part in an international trip.  In 2020 students will visit Rome to gather inspiration for their art projects and exam work.

MFL Department

The department regularly runs a trip to France, visiting Paris, Euro Disney and the Opal Coast.  With more students studying Spanish than ever before, the possibility of a trip to Spain is being explored.  Watch this space for details!

Science Iceland Trip

Biannually, year 10 pupils have the opportunity to embark on a ‘trip of a lifetime’ to Iceland with the Science department. During the five day adventure pupils will visit: breath-taking waterfalls; exploding geysers; beautiful beaches of black volcanic sand; the world famous Blue Lagoon; along with many other extraordinary day trips covering the entire southern peninsula. Pupils will stay in Reykjavik, Hafnarfjordur and Þjóðvegur where pupils will hopefully be lucky enough to witness the Northern Lights as we did in 2017!

Bi-Annual Maths trip to New York

Year 9 pupils have the opportunity to experience everything New York has to offer with the Maths department. During the five days, pupils will experience MOMath (Museum of Mathematics), the Museum of Moving Image, and will take part in a guided tour of Wall Street putting Maths into action in many different ways. Pupils will also get the chance to see the amazing views that the 'Top of the Rock' and The Empire State Building Observatory have to offer, as well as a Landmark Boat Cruise which gives the pupils the chance to see the Statue of Liberty up close. All of this, accompanied with visits to iconic restaurants, shopping in Times Square, Nintendo World, Central park, the 911 Memorial Museum and a basketball game at Madison Square Garden’s creates an amazing opportunity for all pupils involved!
