Sign of the Cross
Leader: O God, come to our aid.
All: O Lord, make haste to help us.
Leader: Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
All: as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Alleluia.
Canticle Isaiah 2 The mountain of the house of the Lord
Leader: Great is the Temple of the Lord: all the nations will go there to worship, alleluia.
In the last days, at the end of time, the mountain of the house of the Lord will be prepared high above all mountains. It will be raised above the hills and all nations will come to it. And many peoples will come there and say “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob. Let him teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” For from Zion the law will go forth, from Jerusalem the word of the Lord. And he will judge the nations and rebuke many peoples. They will beat their swords into ploughshares and their spears into sickles. Nation will lift sword against nation no longer. No longer will they go out into battle.
People of Jacob, come: let us walk in the light of the Lord.
Reading Romans 10:8-10
Reader: The word is very near to you, it is on your lips and in your heart: the word, that is, of the faith we proclaim. If your lips confess that Jesus is Lord and if you believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, then you will be saved. By believing from the heart you are made righteous; by confessing with your lips you are saved.
Intercessions
Leader: The Father has glorified Jesus and handed over to him the whole of creation. Let us praise him in our morning prayer.
All: – Lord, save us through your victory.
Leader: Lord Jesus, you have broken the power of hell, destroying sin and death; do not let us be defeated in our struggle with temptation.
All: – Lord, save us through your victory.
Leader: You have ended death for ever and given us new life; guide our steps today along the path that leads to God.
All: – Lord, save us through your victory.
Leader: You rose from the dead to renew all men; grant eternal life to everyone we meet.
All: – Lord, save us through your victory.
Leader: The disciples rejoiced when you came back from the grave; fill the hearts of your servants with overflowing joy.
All: – Lord, save us through your victory.
Closing Prayer: God and Father, to those who go astray you reveal the light of your truth and enable them to return to the right path. Grant that all who have received the grace of baptism may strive to be worthy of their Christian calling and reject everything opposed to it. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Psalm 66 (67) All peoples, praise the Lord
Leader: The earth has yielded its fruit: let the nations be glad and exult. Alleluia. O God, take pity on us and bless us, and let your face shine upon us, so that your ways may be known across the world, and all nations learn of your salvation. Let the peoples praise you, O God, let all the peoples praise you. Let the nations be glad and rejoice, for you judge the peoples with fairness and you guide the nations of the earth. Let the peoples praise you, O God, let all the peoples praise you. The earth has produced its harvest: may God, our God, bless us. May God bless us, may the whole world revere him.
Reading Acts 13:30-33
Reader: God raised Jesus from the dead, and for many days he appeared to those who had accompanied him from Galilee to Jerusalem: and it is these same companions of his who are now his witnesses before our people. We have come here to tell you the Good News. It was to our ancestors that God made the promise but it is to us, their children, that he has fulfilled it, by raising Jesus from the dead. As scripture says in the second psalm: You are my son: today I have become your father.
Intercessions
Leader: By his own power Christ rebuilt the temple of his body, when it was torn down by death. Let us pray to him with joy.
All: – Lord, grant us the blessings of your resurrection.
Leader: Lord Jesus, in your risen body you brought the good news of salvation to the women and the apostles; let us be your witnesses in this present age.
All: – Lord, grant us the blessings of your resurrection.
Leader: You gave all men the promise of rising from the dead; make us heralds of your gospel, bringing men new hope.
All: – Lord, grant us the blessings of your resurrection.
Leader: You appeared to the apostles and breathed the Holy Spirit upon them; pour out on us the Spirit who creates and renews.
All: – Lord, grant us the blessings of your resurrection.
Leader: You promised to be with your disciples to the end of time; stay with us throughout this day and remain with us for ever.
All: – Lord, grant us the blessings of your resurrection.
Closing Prayer: God our Father, you open the gates of the kingdom of heaven to those who are born again of water and the Holy Spirit increase the grace you have given, so that the people you have purified from all sin may not forfeit the promised blessings of your love. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Canticle Isaiah 33 The Lord will give just judgement
Leader: Our eyes will see the King in his splendour. Alleluia. Hear what I have done, you who are far off, and you who are near, learn of my strength. In Zion, the sinners are afraid;
the hypocrites tremble. Which of you could live with a devouring fire? Which of you will abide in everlasting burning? He who walks in justice, he who speaks fairly – he who rejects the spoils of robbery – he who throws back a bribe – he who blocks his ears against murderous counsels – he who shuts his eyes against evil sights – this is he who will dwell on high, secure in a fortress of rocks. Bread is given to him; his supply of water is secure.
Reading Romans 6:8-11
Reader: We believe that having died with Christ we shall return to life with him: Christ, as we know, having been raised from the dead will never die again. Death has no power over him any more. When he died, he died, once for all, to sin, so his life now is life with God; and in that way, you too must consider yourselves to be dead to sin but alive for God in Christ Jesus.
Intercessions
Leader: Let us pray to Christ, who was put to death for our sins and rose to life for our justification.
All: – Lord, save us by your victory.
Leader: Christ our Saviour, you have overcome death to give us joy and have risen to lift us to the heights; awaken our hearts and make us holy this day by the gift of the Spirit.
All: – Lord, save us by your victory.
Leader: Angels in heaven praise you, men on earth adore you; in this Easter season let us worship you in spirit and in truth.
All: – Lord, save us by your victory.
Leader: Lord Jesus, look with kindness on your people who hope for the resurrection; have mercy on us today and keep us from all evil.
All: – Lord, save us by your victory.
Leader: Christ, our life, we look forward to the day of your coming; let us appear with you and share in your glory.
All: – Lord, save us by your victory.
Closing Prayer: Lord God, stand by your people on whom you have bestowed the gift of faith. Grant them their eternal heritage in the resurrection of your only Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever.
Amen.
