We are all delighted that Ethan Havard is doing so well and has been one of the standout players at Wigan Warriors this season, despite only being 20 years old and one of the junior members of the squad, he has absolutely excelled!

Ethan was a pupil at our school between 2012-2017 and as well as being a brilliant rugby player, was also an exemplary student around school and performed very well in his GCSE examinations. As a school community we are always very proud of our former pupils’ achievements and seeing Ethan yesterday reminded me yet again, what a fabulous role model he is for our current pupils to aspire towards.

Ethan has very kindly donated one of his Wigan shirts to the school which we will display proudly at the front of the school. This will sit alongside the shirts we already have of Joe Burgess, Oliver Gildart and Luke Thompson. At the risk of upsetting our St Helens friends, as a Wigan supporter, I can’t wait to see Ethan in a Wigan shirt next year! The best of luck in your future career Ethan.
