We were delighted to host Presentation Evening for our former Y11 pupils and guests on Thursday evening, (14 November 2024), when they received their GCSE Certificates.
We also welcomed back 2 former pupils as our guest speakers, Megan FInnigan and Callum Stridgeon who were Head Girl and Head Boy in 2014 (which was Mr Dumican's first year as Headteacher). We were delighted to welcome Megan and Callum back as they have both been tremendous advocates for SEACHS since they left.
Megan is a professional footballer who represented England at Everton youth level and went through the Academy at Everton FC before playing for their women's team just a year after she left school in 2015. She was named Club Captain of Everton Women's Club ahead of the 2023-24 season. Megan has featured in national and local news as well appearing on podcasts and in newspaper articles.
Callum is a customer communications and literature lead at the Royal Bank of Scotland International branch. When Callum left school he completed his A levels at Winstanley College, followed by a Geography degree at Newcastle University. Upon leaving university, he started a graduate scheme with Natwest Group and moved onto his current role, where he manages a team of colleagues and travels abroad regularly to deliver the roadmap of communications to retail, business and commercial customers.
We were also delighted to welcome our 2023-24 Head Boy, William Smith and Head Girl, Poppy O'Donoghue, who both delivered wonderful speeches to their friends in the audience.
The evening was another great success and it was so wonderful to see our former students looking so well and happy as they collected their certificates, presented by Chair of Governors, Steve Westhead. #neverleaveeddies!
