On Friday, our Y8 rugby team travelled to South Wales to take part in the opening round of the National Cup.  The boys were in good spirits and there was an air of confidence and anticipation for the game.

However, sadly the team didn't return victorious, as the opposition was exceptionally strong.  Nevertheless, the boys all kept their heads up and continued to do their upmost to compete in the contest. They represented SEA proudly.

Mr Burgess and Mr Hind who accompanied them said that "it was a pleasure to be a part of this journey with the team and the lads, as always represented the school proudly.  They will be back stronger next year! Well done to you all.  There is a lot to reflect on and take this into training so that next year, the team will be even stronger."

Well done to all the players.

What you did was pretty amazing, travelling all that way to take part in a competition and returning without a win.  But you all showed teamwork, grit and determination to win, which is more important.  We are very proud of you all.
