Today, our Year 7 students took part in a powerful anti-bullying workshop delivered by the Take Away Theatre Company. The session was part of our school’s ongoing commitment to promoting kindness, respect, and inclusion across our community.
Take Away Theatre presented their acclaimed production “Hope," Hope, is the story of a beautiful and successful pop star returning to the town where she grew up for the first time in years. A chance encounter between her and an old school acquaintance brings back painful memories of her childhood and the systematic abuse and bullying she suffered at the hands of a classmate. It is a story of courage, self-empowerment and redemption.
Our Year 7 pupils responded brilliantly — showing maturity, empathy, and a real understanding of how their actions can make a difference.
“It really made us think about how we treat people and how we can help,” said Logan. Year 7 pupil Poppy said, “The actors made it fun but also really powerful.”
We’d like to thank Take Away Theatre for delivering such an inspiring and memorable experience. Events like these remind us that everyone has a part to play in making our school a safe and supportive place for all.
