Remembrance Day Service at St Edmund Arrowsmith

On Monday 11th November, St Edmund Arrowsmith Catholic High School came together to mark Remembrance Day with a thoughtful and respectful service.

Pupils attended in their relevant uniforms, proudly representing various organisations such as the Scouts, Guides, Cadets, and other community groups. The whole school observed the two minutes silence, reflecting on the sacrifices made by those who have served in conflicts past and present.

Each form group created their own poppy wreath, which were laid during the service as a symbol of remembrance and gratitude. The display of wreaths highlighted the creativity, respect, and unity of our school community.

We would like to extend a special thank you to Deacon Jim for leading our service and helping us reflect on the importance of remembrance and peace.

The service was a moving reminder of the importance of remembering those who gave their lives for our freedom.

Lest we forget.
