A huge THANK YOU to everyone who donated an item to help the people of Jamaica facing hunger, homelessness, and loss following the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa.

The donations were collected on Friday and will be transported across to people in need.

Follow up message:

Firstly, I would like to Thank You everyone at St Edmund Arrowsmith including all the children and families and teachers that saw this AID Appeal as vital in supporting another part of the world affected by a natural disaster during our season of Harvest and Thanksgiving.  May God Bless You All.

Following our collection I wrote to office of the Prime Minister of Jamaica, his Honourable Andrew Holness to reassure him that our small communities were answering his call to action.  He then gave an open address in his LIVE Sunday speech to the world saying "I express my sincere thanks to everyone who have come together to pray, give HOPE, love and support to Jamaica with AID and especially Faith Leaders, Communities, individuals across the Diaspora, America, Britain and CARICOM etc, at this devastating time, the people of Jamaica has lost everything, but they have not lost HOPE. Help us as we rebuild our country with your support. My sincere gratitude on behalf of Jamaica and All the Jamaican people".

Your school family did an amazing job, championed by a superb school team. Thank you also especially for blessing the collection and I'm sure the people of Jamaica will benefit greatly from this venture of Love in Action. Continue to Pray for Jamaica and Thank you so much for answering the Call to Action.
