Y9 students, Amelia Mooney & Scarlet Howarth started their 7 in 7 challenge to raise money for motor neurone disease. Both girls play for 13s Haydock Warrior Girls and this is their 3rd year of raising money for MNDA.
It started with Scarlet running 7 laps of our playing field every day after school for 7 days. Then last year the 2 girls ran from our playing field to 6 local grassroots clubs in the surrounding area and finished it at the Saints stadium, again for 7 days after they had finished school. This year they have decided to do 7 laps of the outside of 7 stadiums for 7 days. Just like Kevin Sinfield the girls want to raise as much money and awareness as they can and are hoping to raise £777.77.
Please support them to achieve their target.
What is MND? MND is the short term for motor neurone disease, which affects the nerves known as motor neurons. These nerves are found in the brain and spinal cord, and they help tell your muscles what to do. If you have MND, this means your movement will be affected and you are likely to get a wide range of symptoms.
