St Edmund Arrowsmith Students Celebrate Leavers’ Mass
at St Oswald’s Church
Pupils from St Edmund Arrowsmith gathered at St Oswald’s Church for a special Leavers’ Mass, marking an important milestone as they prepare to move on from school.
The service was a meaningful opportunity for Year 11 pupils to come together in reflection and gratitude, celebrating their time at the school while looking ahead to the future. Staff, students, and family members joined in the celebration, creating a warm and supportive atmosphere.
During the Mass, students took an active role by delivering readings, prayers, and music, making the service personal and memorable. The message of the homily focused on growth, resilience, and carrying forward the values learned during their time at St Edmund Arrowsmith.
Headteacher Mr Dumican praised the year group for their contributions to school life, highlighting their achievements both academically and within the wider community. “This is a special moment to recognise how far our students have come,” he said. “We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them.”
As the service concluded, students were invited to reflect on their journey and were given a blessing for the next stage of their lives. The Leavers’ Mass brought the school community together in celebration and hope.
