Gymnasts from SEA competed at the British Schools Acrobatic Gymnastics Finals last weekend. They earned their places after winning the North West regional qualifiers in January and travelled to Stoke to take on the champions of 11 regions of the UK.

Eva Barron and Libby Williams (both Y8) competed in the Under 14 Girls Pair. A fantastic performance saw them run out convincing winners to take the gold and become U14 British Schools Champions.

It was a disappointing day for the Under 16 Girls Group. Emma Green Isla Cook, Eva Booth (All Y11), Jessica Bithell, Hattie Lloyd (Y10) and Lola Sitko (Y9) sought a second national schools title after their victory in the Under 14s in 2024. They performed brilliantly but an uncharacteristic mistake saw them finish in the middle of a competitive field and miss out on the podium. There was some consolation as they helped the North West team to a 2nd Place in the team competition.

Eva and Libby presented with their trophy and medals

Isla, Emma and Hattie will be back in Stoke with their club partnerships this weekend to compete in the British NDP Finals.
