Our Y11 football teams came out victorious on penalties in round one of the English Schools' Cup competition last night!

After being 2-0 up at half time, a smash and grab from the home side put the game level and we went into extra-time, up against it with only 9 players on the pitch at one point.  Nevertheless, with the motto "team work makes the dream work" in their heads, they played magnificently and won 4-2 in the penalty shootout!!  This is such sweet redemption after losing in the semi-final of the Wigan Schools' Cup competition in June this year (when they were in Y10) on penalties to St Peter's.  The second round awaits, again away from home, as the team travels to the Wirral.

Good luck to all the team!  Mr Taylor is very proud of your success and knows that you have it in you as a team to win the competition!

We are all behind you #aspirationalactions
