Over the next couple of weeks, all Year 9 students will participate in a Careers lesson that will be delivered by one of our two careers advisers or Mrs Paul.  The lesson is part of a wider programme that supports Year 9 students as they embark on making their option choices. Pupils will listen to a presentation and will be then be introduced to our school website for different links to support them making choices which gives sound advice about subject choices and careers.

Learning Objectives are as follows:

1.    To gain a greater understanding of the difference between core subjects and options subjects

2.    To gain a greater understanding of the routes available to students after they leave school

3.    To learn how to make the right choices when selecting GCSE courses

4.    To explore the type of jobs available in relation to the subject choices and the qualifications needed to embark on a choice of career.
