Our Y9 students were able to access the Options Marketplace Event this morning in the Sports Hall, to browse the various 'market stalls' to obtain information about each subject area.  This will help them to make some important decisions. as they embark on making their option subject choices.  

The pupils are being supported through their PDC lessons where they receive information to help them to:

1.    To gain a greater understanding of the difference between core subjects and options subjects
2.    To gain a greater understanding of the routes available to students after they leave school
3.    To learn how to make the right choices when selecting GCSE courses
4.    To explore the type of jobs available in relation to the subject choices and the qualifications needed to embark on a choice of career.

The lessons are taking place during IT lessons so that students can have access to the computers to complete some tasks as part of the lesson.
