Mrs Paul is very proud of the girls that were selected to play in the "Utilitia Girls Cup" that was run by Wigan Athletic in the Community yesterday.

20 teams from schools all over the Wigan Borough entered.

I am pleased to say, we managed to make it through to the quarter finals but were then defeated by Up Holland High School.

In the end, we played six matches in total, won 4 and lost 2.

Notable success against:

  • St Mary's (1-0) LAST YEAR'S WINNERS!!!

  • Dean Trust Rose Bridge (4-0)

  • Outwood Hindley (5-0)

  • St Peter's 2 (4-0)

The team showed outstanding behaviour and conduct on and off the pitch and deserve every recognition for their efforts.

*It was also nice to see former pupil who left in July, Freya Edleston, who was officiating at the tournament and is enjoying her studies at Wigan Athletic.
